The other party used when deriving relationship-specific keys. It can be a public key or a special self/anyone value.
Identity certificate
A signed set of claims whose fields can be selectively revealed to a verifier.
Metanet application
An application that delegates keys and wallet operations to a user-controlled wallet while composing open protocols for identity, data, and value.
Originator
The application origin on whose behalf a wallet request is made; it is part of the wallet permission boundary.
Output basket
A wallet-maintained named collection of transaction outputs relevant to an application or protocol.
Overlay
An independently operated, protocol-specific view of on-chain outputs, split into admission rules and lookup services.
Protocol ID
A security level plus protocol name used to scope deterministic wallet key derivation.
SPV
Simplified Payment Verification: validating transactions with headers, Merkle proofs, and transaction ancestry instead of trusting an account database.
Topic manager
The overlay component that evaluates a transaction and decides which outputs are admitted to a named topic.
Lookup service
The overlay component that answers application-specific queries over admitted outputs and related state.
